  1. The stands look good Jesse, Push the trees more though, They look a bit undone. not only should they wind and twist, they should vary in size throughout the trunk. You might actually find this easier to do with a lower poly tree.

  2. Jesse.

I can't tell if the trees are a work in progress or not, but right now, they're WAY too high poly. alpha cards for the leaves are going to need to be a lot larger, but more to the point, they need more geometry. Right now if you walked under the palm and looked up, you'd just see the edges of flat cards.
They also need to be staggered. Right now, they're completley evenly spaced.
The trunks need to vary in with. Big at the base, then tapering towards the top, maybe flaring out right before the husks/dead leaves.

check out these palm leaves, they're a little closer to what you need.

  3. I like the stands as well. I also agree with Nate. Watch your polycount - start with a block in and increase divisions after you get a good silhouette. If you're going to start with a spline you're going to eventually need to collapse it into a mesh without the spline, that's what you should be sending me please.

Please re-send me all your assets as a one scene obj.

    Thanks
